Hello, my name is Michael Toombs. I'm an inspiring animator and student looking to make a full-time career in animation. My goal is to create immersive cartoons that put smiles on people’s faces. My strengths as an animator lean towards character design and story writing. I specialize in designing characters for a younger audience, but will adjust to whatever theme or setting that the job demands of me. The following are concept arts/character designs for a fantasy inspired show about a living scarecrow named "Tall Boy" who was created by a witch to watch over her farm (in reality a secret magic work shop). The witch one day left on an errand and has not been seen or heard from in 100 years. Leaving poor Tall Boy all alone. All he wants at this point is to make a friend. Then a mysterious little girl shows up to the farm one day and decides to befriend him. Join Tall Boy as together with the help of his new little friend try to make the farm more inviting and make the farm more inviting. That is assuming Tall Boy doesn’t accidentally scare everyone away first.
The following is an animation final I did for my Beginning animation class for CSULB. The story is about a little dinosaur running away from a big dinosaur . I call it "Little Dinosaur Big Day".
